REPIPING WATER SYSTEMS CONTRACTOR FOR DUVAL, CLAY AND ST. JOHNS COUNTIES

If your home has galvanized or copper piping and is over 30 years old, or if you notice when you flush a toilet or turn on the water, that the water pressure drops in another part of the house or water temperature fluctuates (i.e. sudden bursts of hot or cold water in the shower), you may be need to have your water pipes replaced. This is the misconception. What is normally referred to as the pressure drops. That is NOT what’s happening. Since years of buildup and corrosion inside of the Galvanized pipe, it actually is losing its “size” the inside of the pipe is getting smaller. So, the volume of the water, “the amount” or flow is less. Think of a McDonalds sized straw compared to a little cocktail straw. You can only suck so much liquid through that tiny straw. The piping needs to be replaced to regain proper size, thus flow and avoid a possible disaster of cracking, breaking, bursting.

Typically, houses from the 70’s and beyond were repiped with copper piping. We have done hundreds of homes in copper repiping. Copper also reacts with water and if not installed perfectly, will leak and devolop corrosion. In our professional opinion, a better product has emerged: Wirsbo AQUAPEX piping. 25-Year Pledge

Wirsbo Company warrants to the real property owners and succeeding owners that AQUAPEX® tubing and the ProPEX® fittings shall be free from defects in material and workmanship, under normal condition of use, when used for portable water distribution. This Limited warranty shall expire in twenty-five (25) years for AQUAPEX® tubing and ten (10) years for ProPEX® fittings when installed by licensed plumbing contractors recognized by Wirsbo as having successfully completed the Wirsbo AQUAPEX® training course. All warranty periods are measured from the date of installation.
